Great news! Returning to Spirit has been approved as an educational entity that may receive the CEP personal credits to deliver the healing and reconciliation workshops around the IRS legacy. It is great opportunity for any of the CEP recipients to make a big difference in their life not only for themselves but also for members of their family and community. Please see the first page of the website to see the options to take full advantage of this opportunity!

At Tatamagouche Centre in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, on September 8th, we will complete the Returning To Spirit Seminar Series.
We looking forward to a great time with all the participants and their invited guests.

It will also be an opportunity to look forward to how to organize more workshops to continue the healing and reconciliation around the Indian Residential School legacy in the Maritime area.

Five Reconciliation workshops have taken place in the first six months of 2013: Winnipeg, MB. Tatamagouche, NS, Hollow Water FN, MB, Prince George, BC and Yellowknife, NT.  We have been from coast to coast to coast. All were unique powerful experiences, bringing healing and reconciliation among many First Nations people with non-Aboriginal people represented by priests, bishops, sisters, ministers, chaplains, church lay people,  social workers, counselors, educators, health care workers, youth, and members of various services/support organizations, i.e. Career Trek. Check out the evaluations!

After experiencing the 5-day Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal RTS workshops last January, followed by the Reconciliation workshop in March, the RTS Seminar Series started last May. It will terminate in beginning of September. Ten Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal participants from different part of Nova Scotia have committed themselves to come to the Tatamagouche Center in Tatamagouche, NS.
We have completed in two 2-days block the first six seminars. In the first week of July we will start the Leadership portion of the seminars. Jacques Lafrance and François Paradis facilitated the first 3 seminars. François with Joanne Martell led the next three seminars. Joyce Clarke and Lorraine Vandall will be leading the next two sets of seminars.

The commitment of the participants makes the series that much more interesting. Hopefully, these participants will be able to generate more workshops in their regions. This would create a possibility for some to become RTS trainers!

Before you speak, ask yourself, is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence?
