Norwood Hotel - Winnipeg, MB
May 7, 2011

MC - Entertainer Winston Wuttunee

Our Master of Ceremonies, Winston Wuttunee is Canada's premiere cross-cultural aboriginal entertainer and kept us laughing throughout the night!

From the Grand Entry through the dinner and testimonies, Winston added energy, humour and his own brand of entertainment to the festivities! Check out photos of Winston and and other who added to the fun. Click on the Entertainment Album.

The Dancing!

The Three Dance groups were absolutely awesome! Each performed their traditional, or in the case of the Aboriginal School of Dance, not so traditional, dances.

The final performance of the evening was the Reconciliation dance. The three groups came together on a blending of styles and then encouraged the guest to actively participate in the dance! Check the dances out in our Gallery.

The Aboriginal School of Dance, with Buffy Handel, created an original piece specially for the Living & Expressing Reconciliation Event. To see photos of the performance, Go to the Gallery, and look at the Aboriginal School Of Dance Album.

Les Danseurs de la Riviere Rouge brought passion and energy as they brought the folk dance to life. To see the performance, just go to the Gallery and move to the Danseurs' Album to see the energy as well as the authentic costumes.

and the Half Pints brought the house down with their magnificent Sash Dance. The completed sash was presented to RTS and woven into the shield. The taps, the twirls and the twists created a beautiful experience as well as a unique sash. The Half Pint photos are found in their album in the Living & Expressing Reconciliation Album in the Gallery.

The Dance of Reconciliation was an innovative and imaginative with dancers from all groups joining in. It was truly a reconciliation as well as a revelation! By the end of the dance, most of the attendees had also joined the celebration. Look and see, just click on the Reconciliation Dance album in the Gallery.
