Community Healing

For two decades, RTS has partnered with communities, large & small, urban & rural, all across Canada. While all communities are unique, experiences that require reconciliation affect them all.

Host Contacts

In order to bring RTS workshops to a community outside of Winnipeg, a Host Contact is needed to help us coordinate the workshop.

The process for hosting a workshop includes the following activities:

  • securing funding for workshop

  • acting as a communication bridge between host organizations/individuals/community

  • finding and booking a suitable room - ideally large enough for a circle of up to 25 people, large whiteboard, and access to kitchen

  • recruiting up to 25 participants - sending out promotional materials, registration links, or inputting hardcopy registrations.

  • gathering supplies - RTS provides list of items

“This workshop was really interesting to me, despite all the differences in our community everyone came together in this workshop.  We worked, we laughed and we shared together.  People that never ever came forth, opened up and shared which was amazing.”

-Sally Joseph, Yekooche BC

"We have heard many good things about the RTS program, and decided to try it for our social/health programs. The impact that it had on our front line workers was visible and an eye opener for many of them who are beginning to think about their own personal healing journeys."

-Connie Gray-McKay Mishkeegogamang Objibway First Nation, ON

“Please attend this totally awesome workshop, this will surely help your reserve become healthy and achieving unity on your reserve. If you are shy, at the end of the workshop you will have a voice. Creating a healthy reserve will start after completing workshop. I guarantee this.”

-Joseph Charlie, Prince George BC
