Reconciliation Is Possible
Reconciliation is possible.
Reconciliation begins with me.
Reconciliation is a coming together.
These are not just words. They are lived through relationship, through the courage to show up, and through the willingness to listen, to speak truth, and to walk forward differently.
We are deeply grateful to the Meadow Lake Tribal Council and the Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon for the opportunity to host the Advancing Reconciliation workshop. What took place was more than a gathering. It was a space where people came together across differences, with openness and a shared commitment to healing.
Over the course of the week, we witnessed moments of honesty, vulnerability, and connection. People sat with one another in ways that are not always easy, and in doing so, something began to shift. There was laughter. There were tears. There was a growing sense of unity that came not from avoiding the hard conversations, but from moving through them together.
This is what reconciliation can look like.
Not perfect. Not finished. But real, human, and possible.
We leave these spaces changed. And as each person returns to their community, the work continues, carried forward in how we choose to be with ourselves and with one another.
